To design a drug addiction center with a transitional living facility (Transitional Living Facility - An in-between residence for the patients before going out in the world) and other recreational spaces like a Swimming Pool, Basketball Court, Garden, etc.
The aim is to design a Rehabilitation Retreat where nature plays a major role in therapy. The site is contoured and overlooks the Shingad mountain range and has a natural stream flowing through it, aligning with the concept of Adaptive Healing, where nature plays a key role.
The concept of Therapeutic Architecture has evolved as a reaction against the austerity of modern treatment facilities. This concept embodies the vision of well-designed architectural spaces that encourage healing and well-being.
The architectural manipulation of space can provide the platform for other natural factors like sound, light, color, privacy, views, and even smell to promote a healing environment that affects patients' physical and psychological healing.
